Each year the Swallows and Swifts compete for the Frying Pan Trophy donated by Mrs J Nelhams.

This year the weather on Shrove Tuesday was not good, and the race took place on the Thursday. There is always much excitement as they run to the table… toss the pancake… and then run back.

Each Year Group has a turn and then as a finale all of Prep and the Staff race. Up to these two races the Swallows and Swifts were on equal points.

The Prep race was won by the Swifts and could the Swallow Staff team make it a tie? No. The Swifts won the Trophy five – three. So much fun packed into half an hour.
