Primary Maths Challenge

In November, pupils in Lower Prep and Prep took part in The Primary Maths Challenge, a national competition founded by The Mathematical Association.  The PMC is designed to make pupils think outside the box.  The questions asked are necessarily subjects that have been covered in the curriculum by the time it is taken and are not heavily reliant on formal mathematical knowledge, but can be solved by logical reasoning.  Nathan Freeman, Aryaa Mehta and Eva Leslie scored particularly highly and were invited to take part in the Primary Maths Challenge Bonus Round.  We were delighted to hear that Nathan Freeman achieved a silver award and Aryaa Mehta a bronze award.  Congratulations to all!
