On Thursday 31st January, Remove visited the Verulamium Museum in St Albans, as part of our Romans topic. We dressed up as Roman citizens while visiting a Roman ‘Marketplace’, where we had to find a range of items from stalls including Pottery, Food, Clothing and Metal. These reflected the artefacts discovered during excavations at Verulamium. We then wandered through the Museum, visiting different galleries such as ‘Making a Living’, ‘Rites and Recreation’ and ‘At Home’. We even saw beautiful mosaics that archaeologists discovered. (One was even discovered under a tree!). We gained a real insight into Roman life.
