PHSE

The health and wellbeing of our pupils is at the heart of all we do at Goodwyn and in particular in our PSHE teaching.

The positive impact that emotional literacy has on learning is well documented.

Happy and resilient learners achieve best and maximise potential.

Our PSHE programme enables children to gain the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to become responsible, confident members of the community who value themselves and others as independent thinkers.

We encourage them to develop a sense of community by learning social awareness and by supporting various charities through fund raising days and events throughout the year.

Our schemes of work are diverse teaching them how to keep healthy and express emotions as well as working on interpersonal relationships and economic wellbeing including budgeting and the functions of a bank.

We help to embed British Values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance through our spiritual, moral, social and cultural programme.
