ISI and OFSTED Reports

Unlike some other inspection frameworks, ISI does not grade schools. Instead, it assesses whether the school meets the required standards—and I’m proud to confirm that Goodwyn met all of them following inspection in June 2025.

The inspectors highlighted many strengths that truly reflect the heart of our school community:

  • A harmonious, respectful and kind environment, where pupils are known, valued and supported.
  • High-quality teaching and learning, with a broad and enriching curriculum that inspires curiosity and creativity, with specific mention of how well we prepare our Early Years child for Year 1 and our Year 6 Children for senior school.
  • Outstanding pastoral care, with a strong emphasis on pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development.
  • Effective safeguarding practices, ensuring that children feel safe and confident to express concerns.
  • A vibrant early years provision, where children are nurtured and well prepared for their journey into Year 1.
  • A strong sense of social responsibility, with pupils actively contributing to both the school and wider community.
