We are delighted to share the findings of our recent Ofsted inspection with you in which Goodwyn School was graded as Outstanding in Early Years Provision and Outstanding in Personal, Welfare and Behaviour.
We are particularly pleased that the inspection team identified our ability to create an ethos, which is unique and nurturing where the progress of individual pupils is key and progress is well above national averages in English and Maths. Also significant is that inspectors recognised the new initiatives across the school, which have enhanced and enriched teaching and learning.
In our recent Inspection in April 2018 Ofsted commented that:
Pupils are happy, feel safe and are well cared for. Their exceptional behaviour and positive attitudes towards their learning are strong aspects of the school. The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding. Pupils are confident learners and have excellent attitudes to their work. This, and their appetite for learning, has a very positive impact on the progress they make. The behaviour of pupils is outstanding. Pupils are very friendly, courteous and polite and conduct themselves extremely well around the school.
